In this article, you will learn
How to get pincodes serviceable by Eshopbox?
To ensure that you only receive orders for the pin codes that Eshopbox can deliver, Eshopbox has two options for sharing the list of serviceable pin codes currently:
Integrate with Eshopbox for pin code serviceability
You can use our pin code serviceability API and integrate it with your website. The benefit of integrating the API is that you can validate whether an order can be delivered to a given pin code or not in real-time.
For pin codes where orders can be delivered, you can integrate the API to
Display the estimated delivery date for an order on the Product Detail page.
Display the available payment method on the Product Detail page or on the Checkout page.
You can refer to the API documentation here.
Check pin code serviceability on your Eshopbox workspace
You can check the serviceability of a pin code on your Eshopbox workspace. To do so, follow the below-given steps:
Step 1: From the header, navigate to Settings.
Step 2: You will be redirected to the Settings page. Select Pin code serviceability.
Step 3: You will be redirected to the Pin code serviceability page.
Step 4: You can check the serviceability of a pickup pin code as well as export the list of serviceable pin codes on the basis of the pickup pin code.
Step 5: On the basis of the pickup and delivery pin code you can check the following for Eshopbox standard and express shipping.
Troubleshooting orders with non-serviceable pin code
Keeping a check on the serviceable pin codes may help you to minimize the chances of getting an order for a non-serviceable pin code but does not completely eliminate the same. Various factors such as extreme weather conditions, festivals and events, strikes, protests, government restrictions, etc., can affect the pin code serviceability.
The processing of an order gets hampered due to the pin code not being serviceable at multiple stages of an order lifecycle. You can track such orders on your Eshopbox workspace and take the necessary action as per the reason.
Incident: An order is created in Eshopbox for a non-serviceable pin code
Eshopbox validates the serviceability of pin code whenever an order is created on the workspace. If the delivery cannot be done via Eshopbox shipping on the given pin code then the order is put On hold with the reason "Customer address not serviceable”.
You can track such orders using the Need attention filter under On Hold > Customer address not serviceable.
As soon as the pin code becomes serviceable again, Eshopbox releases the order for processing.
You can also notify your customers of a delay in delivery for such orders. Learn here how to manage customer notifications.
Incident: The delivery pin code for an order is marked as embargo
This happens when a pin code is made temporarily non-serviceable due to extreme weather conditions, festivals or events, strikes or protests, government restrictions, etc. Since this pin code is temporarily non-serviceable, you might see that the pin code is showing serviceable in Eshopbox but while processing an order you face an error in fetching the label.
Eshopbox highlights such orders with an error message “Pin code is not serviceable at this moment”.
You can track such orders using the Need attention filter.
In such cases, the pin codes usually become serviceable after 3-4 days. You need to manually verify the serviceability of the pin code by checking whether the label is getting printed or not at your fulfilment location.
Eshopbox notifies you of such failed to RTS orders on a daily basis via email. Learn here how to manage notification settings.
Note: If the order is fulfilled by Eshopbox then, Eshopbox will manually verify the serviceability of the pin code and process the order.
In case the pin code still remains non-serviceable you can:
