Update the delivery details of an order

There can be instances when the customer might want to update the delivery details of an order, such as:

  • High chances of failed delivery due to inaccurate/incomplete delivery address.

  • The courier partner failed to deliver the order due to an address issue.

  • The delivery address of the customer is non-serviceable.

Eshopbox notifies the customer to update the delivery address for all such instances over Email, SMS and WhatsApp. You will also be notified of the same over Email. Learn how to manage your customer notifications.

If a customer contacts you to update the delivery address, apart from the situations mentioned above, you can request the customer to update the address through the customer portal, or if needed, you can assist them by updating it on their behalf.

You can update the delivery details of an order as long as it is in the Ready to Ship status.

Note: You can only update the delivery details of an order where Eshopbox shipping is applicable.

In this article, you will learn how to update the delivery details of an order from the customer portal.

Steps to update the delivery details

To update the delivery details, you need to follow the below-given steps:

  • Step 1: Log in to your Eshopbox workspace.

  • Step 2: From the header, navigate to Orders > All Orders.

  • Step 3: You will be redirected to the Orders page. Search the order for which you want to update the delivery details.

  • Step 4: Click on Take action.

  • Step 5: Select View on Customer Portal.

  • Step 6: You will be redirected to the customer portal. Click on Edit details under the delivery details.

  • Step 7: A popup will be open up. Edit the details as per the suggested changes and click on Confirm.

The delivery details for that order will be updated, and Eshopbox will deliver the order to the updated address.

Note: If your customer needs to update the delivery details, they can update it from the customer portal. The customer portal can be accessed from the tracking link shared in the notification itself.
