Eshopbox seller of record: Overview and FAQs

The seller of record indicates which legal entity is identified as selling a product to the consumer. Businesses have the option to act as their own seller of record or outsource these responsibilities.

You can authorize Eshopbox to be your seller of record on different sales channels. If you outsource seller of record responsibilities, Eshopbox will resell your products to consumers using a flash title (e.g. Sold by Eshopbox) – momentarily acting as the seller at the time of purchase.

How do I make Eshopbox the seller of record?

To make Eshopbox your seller of record, you need to follow the below-given steps:

  • Step 1: You must authorize Eshopbox to sell your products by providing a No Objection Certificate (NOC). Learn here about the channel-specific NOC formats.

Below is the checklist to prepare NOCs:

    • NOC should be printed on your company’s letterhead

    • NOC should be stamped and signed by an authorized signatory of your company

  • Step 2: Brand Authorization letter which has the Trademark number mentioned on it or an Invoice copy highlighting the purchase of the brand product. In case you are the brand owner, you can also submit just the trademark certificate.
