The quality check process helps to ensure that:
The received items are in good condition.

The product SKU information not being updated on the Eshopbox workspace
In case you have selected Do not allow receiving of excess items, then you can enter the SKU or any scannable identifier for the excess items received.
An unexpected consignment refers to the consignment created by Eshopbox to inward the excess inventory received along with the originally created consignment.
For example, If you have created a consignment for 100 units of SKU A but we have received 120 quantities instead of 100, then the additional 20 quantities will be considered as excess.
If the 20 excess units are scannable (intact item tag/ barcode) and the product is created in Eshopbox, then an unexpected consignment will be created for this with the same consignment number as the original with an added prefix as UC.
Note: You can manage whether you want to receive excess items in a consignment.
If you have selected, Do not allow receiving of excess items, and you try to receive any excess items, you will receive an error message indicating that receiving excess items is not allowed, and you won’t be able to create an unexpected consignment. These excess items will marked as Overage quantity.
If you have selected Allow receiving of excess items and try to receive any excess items, you will receive a message to verify whether you are adding the correct items as excess inventory. Once you confirm, you can add them, and an unexpected consignment will be created.
To update your unexpected consignment settings, please raise a support ticket. Learn here how to raise a ticket to Eshopbox.
Whenever an item is received at the Eshopbox fulfilment location, a unique item barcode is pasted on the outer packaging of each unit. All the further movement and processing of the item in the fulfilment centre happens by scanning the item barcode.
There can be certain instances when the item barcode might get removed accidentally while handling. Without the item barcode, these items cannot be picked for order processing or stock count. Such inventory is then flagged as under investigation.
To rectify this, Eshopbox re-inward these items by creating a new consignment labelled as re-inward (missing barcodes). This involves generating new barcodes and restocking the items. Once the receiving is completed for these items, its inventory is reduced from Under investigation and added back to your Sellable inventory.
