Creating and scheduling a consignment on the workspace

In order to send inventory to an Eshopbox fulfilment center or receive inventory at your own fulfilment location, you need to create and schedule a consignment on your Eshopbox workspace.

By doing so, you can ensure that the consignment is received and processed at the fulfilment location within the defined SLAs.

Before creating a consignment on the Eshopbox workspace, make sure you have

  • Added the location from where you will send the inventory

  • Enabled self-fulfilment in case you want to receive inventory at your own fulfilment location

  • Created your products on the workspace for which you wish to send the inventory.

Creating a consignment

  • Step 1: Log in to your Eshopbox workspace.

  • Step 2: From the header, navigate to Inventory > Consignments > All Consignments.

  • Step 3: Click on Create.

    You will be redirected to the Create Consignment page.

  • Step 4: Provide the inventory movement details i.e. the origin and destination locations.

    • Select the location from where you want to send inventory from the dropdown next to the Send Inventory from option.

      Note: In case there are products that have been rejected during a quality check, this location will be referred to create a removal order.

    • Select the location where you want to send the inventory from the dropdown next to the Send Inventory to option.

      Note: You need to select the Eshopbox fulfilment centre in case you want to send the inventory to Eshopbox.

    • Click Continue.

  • Step 5: Download the CSV template and fill in the inventory details. Learn here how to fill in the CSV file correctly to create a consignment.

  • Step 6: Save the template as a CSV file. Upload the CSV file by clicking on Add CSV.

  • Step 7: Once the CSV is added, click on Upload sheet.

    The green tick under status implies that your consignment was created successfully.

  • Step 8: Click on Next. The created consignment will be visible on the All Consignments page.

In case the file is not prepared per the guidelines, an error message will be displayed. Learn here how to troubleshoot CSV file errors. You need to fix the errors and upload the file again.

Scheduling a consignment

You need to schedule a consignment created on your Eshopbox workspace for delivery as per the available date and time slots.

To schedule a consignment, follow the below-given steps:

  • Step 1: Provide the document (stock transfer note, challan, or invoice) number and upload the scanned copy of the same. Generate a single document against a single consignment.

  • Step 2: Enter the number of boxes. This should match the number of boxes printed on the physical document you’ll send along with the consignment.

  • Step 3: Select the date and time from the slots on which you would like to deliver the consignment. This will ensure a planned and smooth delivery of the consignment at the fulfilment location.

  • Step 4: Click on Schedule Consignment.

  • Step 5: A pop-up message will appear to confirm delivery. You need to acknowledge the delivery guidelines by selecting the checkbox at the bottom. Click on Confirm and continue.

This is to confirm that you will follow all the guidelines while delivering inventory at the fulfilment location. Learn here about the Eshopbox delivery guidelines.

Once done, your consignment will be marked as Scheduled on the workspace.

Note: In case you fail to deliver the consignment on the booked date, you need to reschedule it on the Eshopbox workspace before sending the consignment to the fulfilment location.

Re-scheduling a consignment

If you have missed an appointment slot or want to deliver your consignment at some other date, you can easily re-schedule your delivery appointment on the Eshopbox workspace.

You need to follow the below steps to re-schedule a consignment.

  • Step 1: Select the consignment that you wish to reschedule. You will be redirected to the Track Consignment page.

  • Step 2: Click on Re-schedule consignment.

  • Step 3: Click on Confirm.

    All the details mentioned previously will be fetched and displayed. You can edit them according to your updated schedule.

  • Step 4: Click on Schedule Consignment.

    Your consignment will get rescheduled for delivery as per the new date and time selected.

    Note: In case you are receiving a consignment at your own fulfilment location, you can skip the scheduling and re-scheduling steps.
