A location is any physical place from where you
sell products
ship or fulfil orders
stock inventory
You can also configure your self fulfilment location in the Eshopbox workspace from where you want to perform any of the above activities.
This can be a retail store, warehouse, popup, drop shipper, or any other place where you want to manage or stock inventory.
By configuring multiple locations, you can have better visibility of your inventory and streamline order fulfilment.
In this article, you will learn how to add and configure a location.
To add a location, you need to follow the below-given steps:
Step 1: Log in to your Eshopbox workspace.
Step 2: From the header, navigate to Settings.
Step 3: You will be redirected to the Settings page. Click on Locations.
Step 4: You will be redirected to the Locations page. From the Locations page, select My Locations.
Step 6: You will be redirected to the Add Location page. Provide the following details to add a location:
Location code: Unique code that helps to identify the particular location. e.g. DEL01.
Note: If you are using an ERP, we recommend you keep the same location code as created in your ERP. Eshopbox will use this code for integration with your ERP. Once saved, the location code cannot be edited.
Location name: Name of your location. e.g. Delhi FC.
Self fulfilment: If you want to fulfil orders from this location, then you need to turn the toggle ON.
When you enable self-fulfilment settings, you need to select how to manage inventory for the location. You can choose from the following options:
Do not manage inventory
Manage inventory at the SKU level
Manage inventory at the Unit level
Depending on the inventory management option you choose, the relevant fulfilment workflows will be enabled automatically. You can further edit these workflows using Self Fulfilment settings.
Below are the details of default and available settings, as per each inventory management method:
