Handling non-compliant consignments

Case 1: Non-scannable, missing, or incorrect barcodes

Every item in a consignment must have a readable barcode. Non-scannable, missing or incorrect barcode prevents Eshopbox from receiving your inventory.

Case 2: Mixed SKUs in the cartons

Each carton must have one SKU only. However, if you intend to pack different SKUs in the same carton, you must segregate them within the carton using a divider or the box-in-box method.

Case 3: Item rejected during quality check (QC)

Every item in the consignment must pass the quality check at the time of receipt. If an item does not comply with the Eshopbox QC parameters, it will lead to non-compliance with Eshopbox delivery guidelines and QC rejection.

Case 4: Unexpected inventory received

Items that are not a part of the consignment to be received are referred to as unexpected inventory. Eshopbox created an unexpected consignment on the workspace to receive this inventory.

Case 5: Product label missing

Every item in the consignment must be labelled properly in accordance with the Eshopbox product preparation guidelines. An item without a product label will lead to QC rejection and non-compliance as per the Indian Metrology Act.

Case 6: Missed scheduled appointment

You need to make sure that a consignment is delivered on the scheduled appointment date. Eshopbox allocates resources that will receive the consignment on the scheduled date. If you miss the delivery date, Eshopbox will have to reallocate the resources to receive the consignment.

Case 7: Unscheduled delivery of a consignment

Every consignment must be created and scheduled for delivery on your Eshopbox workspace. To receive an unscheduled delivery, you will have first to create a consignment and then notify Eshopbox to process it.

However, this is purely subject to the availability of space and resources at the fulfilment centre. In case the resources cannot be allocated on time, Eshopbox can reject your unscheduled delivery.

Case 8: Missing barcode

When managing inventory at the SKU level, having a barcode for each physical product is crucial.

By keeping in mind the above common mistakes, you can avoid incurring any additional fees.
