Shipping mode describes the different methods of delivering orders to customers. It refers to how an order is shipped from the fulfilment location to the delivery location.
Eshopbox Shipping offers three shipping modes for better control and flexibility:
Eshopbox Standard: Optimized for cost savings and can be used to deliver shipments to customers according to standard turnaround times.
Eshopbox Express: Optimized for speed. Used for faster delivery of shipments to customers according to express turnaround times.
Eshopbox Prime: Optimized for priority delivery. Designed for same-day and next-day delivery of shipments to customers, ensuring the fastest possible turnaround times.
In this article, you will learn how to configure shipping mode for your workspace.
Configuring your shipping mode
Configuring the shipping mode allows you to prioritize the different shipping options available to ship an order. You can use it to split courier allocation based on various conditions, like order value, zone, payment method, location, etc.
To configure the shipping mode, you need to create allocation rules on your workspace and define their priority.
To do so, you need to follow the below-given steps:
Step 1: From the header, navigate to Settings.
Step 2: You will be redirected to the Settings page. Select Shipping mode.
Step 3: You will be redirected to the Shipping mode page.
Step 4: Click on Create Rule.
Step 5: You will be redirected to the Create rule page.
Step 6: Enter a Rule name.
Step 7: Create the conditions as per your need by selecting from the available fields.
Chargeable weight
Delivery pincode
Delivery state
Location
Order value
Payment method
Product specification
Sales channel
Customer shipping preference
Zone
Step 8: You can add multiple filters with AND conditions. You can remove the created conditions as well.
Step 9: If you want to offer your customers same-day and next-day delivery options, you need to enable Eshopbox Prime.
Step 10: You need to set the preference for shipping mode to allocate to the orders filtered out on the basis of the set condition. Eshopbox will refer to this priority to determine which shipping service to assign.
Note:
If your product is configured as "Is or contains liquid" Eshopbox will automatically assign the appropriate shipping mode based on the courier's capability to handle liquid shipments.
You can also remove a shipping mode while setting the shipping mode priority. However, it is suggested always to define the shipping priority while creating a rule rather than selecting a single shipping mode. This provides you with a wider range of serviceable pin codes.
Step 11: Click on Save.
Your allocation rules will be created. You can view and take action on the created rules as well.
Eshopbox creates a default rule for every workspace which is set at the lowest priority and is applicable for orders which do not meet the conditions of any created rule.
You cannot delete or change the priority of this rule. However, you can change the priority of the shipping mode configured for the rule.
To ensure proper execution of created rules, it is important to set priorities. You should assign the highest priority to the rule that requires immediate attention and validation.
You can set the priority for a created rule by using the below actions:
Move to top
Move to bottom
Move Up
Move Down
Duplicate
Delete
For example, if you want a created rule to be validated first then you need to set its priority on the top using the action Move to top.
Similarly, if you want to set the lowest priority for a created rule, you can Move it to bottom.
You can keep track of the orders getting created on your Eshopbox workspace to ensure that the shipping mode allocation is being done based on the created rules.
To do so, you need to follow the below-given steps.
Step 1: From the header, navigate to Orders > All orders.
Step 2: Select the order for which you want to check the shipping mode rule.
Step 3: Click on the Activities tab. You can view the shipping mode rule applicable to this order.

You want to charge your customer for Express shipping. This can be done by configuring a shipping mode rule on your workspace.

Shopify:
Step 1: On your Shopify store, you need to first set the shipping rate. Learn here how to set the shipping rate.

Whenever an order is created in Eshopbox from your Shopify store, if the customer's shipping preference is Express shipping, Eshopbox will assign the shipping mode as per the above-configured rule.
Custom channel integration: If you have done a custom integration with Eshopbox, then you need to provide the shipping rate name in the Create Order API as shipMethod.
