Shipping TAT (Turn around time) is the estimated duration for an order to reach its delivery location once it has been handed over to the courier.

Based on the shipping zone and mode, Eshopbox has defined the shipping TATs as below:

Exceptions that may affect the shipping TAT

There can be certain instances when the shipping TATs for delivering an order may get extended. These can be:

  • The shipping routes are affected due to:

    • Strikes, rallies, and other political issues.

    • Covid restrictions.

    • Operational constraints.

    • Natural calamities like floods, heavy rainfall, fog, etc.

  • The order is untraceable/ lost in sorting hubs or damaged.

  • The shipping pin code is non-serviceable.

  • The delivery address is an ODA location.

  • The order is misrouted.

  • The delivery vehicle got seized or broken down.

FAQ

What is an ODA location?

ODA stands for Out of Delivery Area. These are remote areas where order delivery is impossible as these areas cannot be easily accessible. Customers need to visit the nearest sorting hub to self-collect their orders.

What is a sorting hub?

A sorting hub is any order delivery facility where orders are sorted into different batches for delivery. The orders then may be sent to another sorting hub or local post offices where they're sorted again.

How can same-day delivery (SDD) and next-day delivery (NDD) be enabled using Eshopbox shipping?

To enable SDD and NDD on your Eshopbox workspace, you need to follow the below-given steps:

  • Step 1: Login to Eshopbox Workspace.

  • Step 2: From the header, navigate to Settings > Shipping Mode.

  • Step 3: Toggle on the Eshopbox Prime option to activate premium shipping modes.

  • Step 4: Create a custom shipping rule as per your requirements. Learn how to create shipping mode rules.

Once enabled, orders eligible for SDD and NDD will automatically be assigned for faster deliveries through Eshopbox Prime.
