Basic concepts you should know

This will help you understand how Flipkart products are treated in Eshopbox.

Products

Product records need to exist in both Eshopbox and Flipkart with matching and unique SKUs. Eshopbox will only manage product availability on Flipkart and will not manage any other product information.

Variants

Each SKU is considered as a product in Eshopbox. Each product variant on Flipkart will be treated as individual products in Eshopbox. For example, a t-shirt with three colours (variants) in Flipkart will be considered as three products in Eshopbox.

Virtual kits

A virtual kit is a combination of products that are stored separately in the fulfilment centre and are combined at the time of order processing. You can create a virtual kit in Eshopbox and make it available to Flipkart by associating it with a matching Flipkart listing.

How to make products available to Flipkart?

Eshopbox allows you to make products available to Flipkart either automatically or manually. To make your products available to Flipkart, follow the below steps:

  • From the sidebar of the Eshopbox workspace, navigate to Apps > Flipkart App

  • Navigate to 'Make your product available to Flipkart'

  • Toggle the button 'on' if you wish to automatically make products available to Flipkart. This is recommended if you wish to make all products in Eshopbox available to Flipkart.

  • Toggle the button 'off' if you wish to manually make products available to Flipkart. This is recommended if you want to make selected products available to Flipkart

Option I: Making products available automatically

Toggle the button 'on' to enable automatic product sync. If you turn on the automated product sync:

  • Eshopbox will search for product listings on Flipkart corresponding to every product created in Eshopbox. Eshopbox will search for products using the SKU, ESIN, EAN, UPC, or other aliases configured along with the product.

  • If Eshopbox finds a match, Eshopbox will make the product available to Flipkart. Eshopbox will save the Flipkart serial number (FSN) and Flipkart listing ID of the product.

💡 Make sure that the seller SKU configured with your Flipkart listings is included along with the product in Eshopbox — either as an SKU, EAN, UPC, or any other aliases.

Option II: Making products available manually

Toggle the button 'off' to disable automatic product sync. You can selectively make products available individually or in bulk.

Making products available to Flipkart individually

You can make products available individually by following the below steps:

  • From the sidebar of the Eshopbox workspace, navigate to Inventory > All products

  • Search for the product you wish to make available

  • Navigate to the 'availability' tab

  • Toggle the button 'on' with sales channel as Flipkart

  • If Eshopbox cannot find your product on Flipkart directly, you need to mention the seller SKU configured with listings on the Flipkart seller hub.

Making products available to Flipkart in bulk

You can make products available to Flipkart in bulk by following the below steps:

  • From the sidebar of the Eshopbox workspace, navigate to Inventory > All products

  • Click on the 'Import' button in the top right corner of your screen.

  • Select 'Manage product availability on sales channel'

  • Select 'Make products available to sales channel'

  • Select sales channel as 'Flipkart'.

  • Click on the 'Download template' button and update the SKU and the Flipkart listing ID of your products in the template.

  • Click on 'Add CSV' and upload the template in Eshopbox.

Selected products will now be made available to Flipkart.

Troubleshooting product availability on Flipkart

You may come across situations where the product count in Flipkart does not match the product count on Eshopbox. Follow the below checklist to identify and rectify the errors:

  • Check whether multiple Flipkart listings are associated with a single product in Eshopbox

  • Check whether the SKU in Eshopbox matches the SKU in Flipkart

Scenario I: Multiple Flipkart listings are associated with a single product in Eshopbox

In this case, multiple listings on Flipkart are associated with a single product in Eshopbox. This happens when there are two listings with different SKUs in Flipkart, and both these SKUs are available as an SKU or any other aliases with a product in Eshopbox.

If you make a product available in Eshopbox associated with multiple Flipkart listings, Eshopbox will highlight this case with the remark 'Multiple listings are available on Flipkart for this product'. Now, follow the below steps to make the correct product available to Flipkart:

  • You will be able to see all the Flipkart SKUs associated with the product in Eshopbox. You need to choose the SKU that you wish to make available on Flipkart.

  • Click on 'make available'

Now, the SKU you have chosen will be made available to Flipkart and the other SKUs associated with the product in Eshopbox will remain unavailable on Flipkart.

Scenario II: SKU in Eshopbox does not match the seller SKU in Flipkart

In this case, you need to add SKU as an alias (additional name) in Eshopbox. You can add your Flipkart SKU in Eshopbox as an alias to associate the products by editing your product information. How to edit product information in Eshopbox.

You may face an error while adding aliases to your product. This happens if multiple products are created in Eshopbox with the same SKU. In this case, you need to use the merge product function to combine multiple products in Eshopbox into one.

Merging products is the process of combining two products by overlapping one product's attributes over another. Learn how to merge products in Eshopbox. This will allow you to eliminate duplicate products from Eshopbox.
