Weight waiver

Weight waiver

The product verification feature in your Eshopbox workspace enables you to confirm the actual weight and dimensions of your products, which helps determine the most suitable packaging.

Eshopbox gives you the option to request product verification either individually or in bulk via CSV import. However, for large sets of SKUs, this may not always be practical. To address this, Eshopbox offers a Weight Waiver option, allowing you to verify entire product categories and map them to the corresponding products.

The Weight Waiver is ideal when you need to verify the weight and dimensions of multiple SKUs across various product categories at once.

To request a weight waiver, follow these steps:

  1. Identify the product category, e.g., Apparel.

  2. Select three products from that category, e.g., shirts, jeans and trousers.

  3. Provide the weight and dimensions for each of the three products to Eshopbox for category verification.

In this article, you will learn how to request a weight waiver.

To request a weight waiver, you need to follow the below-given steps:

  • Step 1: Log in to your Eshopbox workspace.

  • Step 2: Navigate to Help and select 'My Tickets'.

  • Step 3: You will be redirected to the Tickets page. Click on Ask for Assistance.

  • Step 4: Select Products and Inventory > Something Else.

Make sure that all the uploaded images are as per the guidelines below:

  • For Length, Width, and Height images

    • Verify that the images clearly show the product's length, width, and height with a measuring tool fully extended and visible alongside the product.

    • Ensure the measuring tool’s start point is aligned with the product’s edge, capturing the full measurement from end to end.

    • The images should be taken from a straight angle to avoid distortion, ensuring an accurate representation of the product’s dimensions.

    • For length and width, check that the measuring tool is parallel to the product's edges and captures the widest points accurately.

    • For height, confirm that the product is standing upright, with the measuring tool extending from the base to the topmost point.

    • The images should be clear and free of obstructions, and the measuring tool should be easy to read.

  • For Weight images:

    • Verify that the image clearly shows the product's weight on a scale, ensuring the scale reading is fully visible and not obstructed.

    • Ensure the scale is calibrated and the weight is displayed in the correct unit (grams).

    • Confirm that the product is placed centrally on the scale to avoid weight distribution issues affecting accuracy.

    • The image should be taken from a straight angle to ensure the scale's display is clear and readable.

  • Step 7: Once done, upload the CSV file.

  • Step 8: Enter a description for your query.

  • Step 9: Click on Submit.

A ticket will be created. You can track the status of the ticket from the Tickets page.

Eshopbox will validate the shared images and verify the SKUs. If the uploaded images are not per the guidelines, Eshopbox will reject the product in verification.
