If you want to create multiple packaging materials on your workspace, you can do so in bulk via import. To do so, you need to prepare a CSV template.
In this article, you will learn how to prepare a CSV for creating packaging materials in bulk.
You need to follow the below-given steps to prepare the CSV template to create packaging materials.
Step 1: Log in to your Eshopbox workspace.
Step 2: From the header, navigate to Settings.
Step 3: You will be redirected to the Settings page. Click on Packaging material.
Step 4: You will be redirected to the Packaging material page. Click on Import.
Step 5: You will be redirected to the Create or Edit Packaging material page.
Step 6: Download the CSV template. In this template, you will come across the following attributes.
Attributes | Description |
Packaging material Code | It is the unique identifier for the Packaging material. This should be scannable, as you will have to scan this code while packing an order. |
Packaging material description | Mention a short name to identify the packaging. For example, if you have created a box for packing medium-sized items, you can add the packaging description as a Medium box. |
Packaging material type | This is the type of Packaging material: Box/Flyer. A box is a 3D structure defined by its length, width and height, whereas a flyer refers to a thin, flexible sheet made of plastic, paper or fabric. |
Length | It is the length of the Packaging material in cm. |
Width | It is the width of the Packaging material in cm. |
Height | It is the height of the Packaging material in cm. |
Dead weight | It is the dead weight of the Packaging material in gm. |
Verification required (Yes/ No) | Mention whether you want to verify the Packaging material or not. |
Packaging material length image | It is the Packaging material length image link. This is mandatory if verification required is Yes. |
Packaging material width image | It is the Packaging material width image link. This is mandatory if verification required is Yes. |
Packaging material height image | It is the Packaging material height image link. This is mandatory if verification required is Yes. |
Packaging material dead weight image | It is the Packaging material dead weight image link. This is mandatory if verification required is Yes. |
Step 7: Fill in the details under each field in the template header.
Step 8: Save the template as CSV and upload it.
To view the status of the CSV, navigate to Files from the header.

Note: You cannot update the packaging material which is in Verified or In verification status via import.
