Parcel Proof gives you clear video evidence of how orders are packed and how returns are processed. This helps reduce disputes, improve operational accuracy, and build confidence in your fulfillment process.

With Parcel Proof, you can:

  • Feel confident about how your orders are handled before they reach customers.
  • Audit packing quality and confirm that the right items were shipped.
  • Resolve marketplace claims faster using verifiable video evidence.
  • Reduce losses caused by false return or damage claims.

What is captured

Parcel Proof records key steps at both the packing stage and the return processing stage, giving you end-to-end visibility.

1. At the packing station

During order packing, the system captures a continuous video that shows the full process—from item verification to final sealing.

This includes:

  • Items placed in front of the camera before packing
  • Items being packed into the shipment
  • The final sealed package with the shipping label clearly visible

These recordings help confirm that the correct items were picked, packed properly, and labeled accurately.

2. At the return processing station

When a return is received, Parcel Proof captures a structured video of the inspection process.

This includes:

  • The outer package with the shipping label visible
  • A six-sided view of the package before opening
  • The unboxing process
  • The condition of the product after opening
  • Clear visibility of any damaged parts, if applicable

These videos make it easier to validate return claims, identify misuse or fraud, and support decisions with clear visual proof.

Please note that video will be annotated with the time-stamp, which will match with the processing time in the order activity timeline.

How to access videos

You can access all available videos directly from the order detail page in your Eshopbox workspace. From there, you can:

  • View packing videos
  • View return processing videos (if available)
  • Download videos for offline use or sharing

Storage and retention

Videos are stored for 60 days from the date they are recorded. After this period, they are automatically deleted and cannot be recovered.

Availability and SLA

Video capture depends on device performance and network conditions. Parcel Proof maintains a video availability rate of at least 90% (VMS adherence), in line with marketplace expectations.

In some situations, videos may not be captured due to:

  • Camera device issues
  • Network or upload failures
  • Operational interruptions

If a video is not immediately available, you can request retrieval by sharing the order ID and date. Retrieval is handled on a best-effort basis and depends on availability in upstream systems or backups.

All such cases are tracked as part of overall VMS adherence

Marketplace specific behavior

For certain marketplaces (e.g., Flipkart and Myntra), video capture is done using their mandated video management systems. These videos are not available in the Eshopbox workspace. Instead, periodic reports are shared by the respective marketplaces.


Billing

Parcel Proof is charged per shipment processed and per return processed, as applicable. If overall adherence falls below 90%, applicable credits may be provided as per policy.


FAQs

1. Can videos be stored for longer than 60 days?

Yes, extended storage is available at an additional cost of ₹1 per video per month.

2. Can I enable Parcel Proof for specific channels only?

No. Parcel Proof is implemented as a standardized process at the packing station, and warehouse operations follow a fixed SOP.

As a result, it is not possible to enable or disable video capture selectively for specific channels.

3. Can I opt out of Parcel Proof?

You can opt out but it is not recommended, as video evidence plays a critical role in resolving claims and disputes. Without Parcel Proof, investigation of customer or marketplace disputes may be limited.
