Packing removal items

Removals refer to the process of removing inactive inventory from the fulfilment centre. Inactive inventory refers to any inventory that is not in the sellable condition.

A removal is created to send back any inactive inventory to the vendor for refurbishment or disposal.

A removal can be created for any of the following types of inactive inventory:

  • Non sellable inwards: QC failed items received in a consignment.

  • Unknown inwards (Previously known as Overage): Unknown items received in a consignment. It refers to the items that could not be identified either because the tag was missing/non-scannable or the product with this SKU was not created in Eshopbox.

  • Non sellable returns: QC failed items received in returns.

  • Unknown returns (Previously known as Other brand returns): It refers to the items received in return which could not be identified either because the tag was missing/ non scannable or the product with this SKU was not created in Eshopbox.

  • Non sellable transfers: Items moved from sellable to non-sellable during internal inventory audit due to any reason.

  • Non sellable batches: Items for which batch tracking was enabled and the stop ship date has crossed. These items need to be transferred out from the shelf before creating a removal for them.

A removal is created for the inventory that is marked as rejected at the time of receiving. After placing all the rejected items in the tote, you can start the removal process.

Before you start, make sure you

  • Identify the type of inventory that you need to remove.

  • Keep the boxes handy in which you want to pack the removal items.

Steps to pack removal

To pack removal items, you need to follow the below-given steps:

  • Step 1: Login into your Eshopbox workspace.

  • Step 2: From the header, navigate to Inventory > Remove inactive inventory > Pack.

Depending on the type of inventory selected, you need to follow the below-given steps:

For Non sellable inwards / Unknown inwards inventory type

  • Step 6: Scan the tote code in which you have kept the items QC rejected in inwards and click on Submit. You will able to see the consignment number for which you are creating the removal.

    Note: You need to select the tote type according to the type of removal you are creating.

  • Step 7: You will be redirected to the Pack box page. Click on Add.

  • Step 8: You will be redirected to the Add Items page. Scan the tote code from the tote label. Click on OK to proceed.

  • Step 9: Scan the SKU and click OK.

  • Step 10: Enter quantity.

  • Step 11: Click on Submit to add multiple items. Once you have added all the items, click on Complete.

  • Step 12: You will be redirected to the Add Items page. Verify the list of items that you scanned, and you can pack the box now and click on Complete to proceed.

For Non-sellable returns / Unknown returns inventory type

  • Step 6: Scan the item barcode or scannable identifier and click on Submit.

  • Step 7: You will be redirected to the Pack box page. Click on Add.

  • Step 8: You will be redirected to Add items page. Enter the item barcode and click on Submit.

  • Step 9: Click on Submit to add multiple items. Once you have added all the items, click on Complete.

  • Step 10: You will be redirected to the Add Items page. Verify the list of items that you scanned, and you can pack the box now and click on Complete to proceed.

For Non-sellable transfers inventory type

  • Step 6: Select the Traceability level as SKU level or item level.

    • For SKU level

      • Step 6.1: Scan the scannable identifier of the products from the tote.

      • Step 6.2: Enter the quantity and click on Submit.

    • For item level

      • Step 6.1: Enter the quantity and click on Submit.

  • Step 7: Click on Next to add multiple items. Once you have added all the items, click on Complete.

  • Step 8: You will be redirected to the Add Items page. Verify the list of items that you scanned, and you can pack the box now and click on Complete to proceed.

For Non-sellable batches inventory type

To create a removal for non sellable batch items, you need to first perform a transfer out. Then follow the steps 1-5 as above.

  • Step 6: Scan the item barcode or scannable identifier to find the workspace.

  • Step 7: You will be redirected to the Pack box page. Scan the Tote and click OK.

  • Step 8: Enter the SKU and click OK.

  • Step 9: Select the batch details from the list and click OK.

  • Step 10: Enter the Quantity and click Submit.

  • Step 11: Click on Next to add multiple items. Once you have added all the items, click on Complete.

  • Step 12: You will be redirected to the Add Items page. Verify the list of items that you scanned, and you can pack the box now and click on Complete to proceed.

Printing box packing slip

Once done, you will be redirected to the Pack Removals page. Navigate to All view and lick on Print packaging slip against your Box ID.

                                                                                        

You will be redirected to the Print packing slip page. Click on Print to print the packing slip. Paste the packing slip on the packed box and click on Submit.

Repeat the above steps to pack all the boxes of the consignment.
