This guide outlines the two approaches to integrating Unicommerce with Eshopbox for managing shipping.
By following these steps, you can streamline your order processing and shipping operations.
Approach A: Using your Eshopbox workspace to process orders
To do so, you need to follow the below-given steps:
Order creation in Unicommerce: All orders will be created in Unicommerce, where a shipping package will also be generated.
Shipping package synchronization: Eshopbox will automatically pull all the shipping packages from Unicommerce.
Order processing in Eshopbox:
Process the orders and generate labels and invoices on your Eshopbox workspace.
The shipping packages will be automatically marked as packed in Unicommerce.
Inventory will be adjusted automatically for orders in Unicommerce.
Manifest Creation and Closure: Once you create and close the manifest in Eshopbox, the shipping package will be marked as dispatched in Unicommerce.
Order Delivery Update: Upon delivery, the shipping package status will be updated as delivered in Unicommerce.
Approach B: Using Unicommerce to process orders (Coming soon)
To do so, you need to follow the below-given steps:
Order Creation in Unicommerce: All orders will be created in Unicommerce, where a shipping package will also be generated.
Order Processing in Unicommerce:
Process the orders and generate labels and invoices in Unicommerce.
At this point, the order will be created in Eshopbox directly in Ready to Ship status.
Delivery Status Synchronization: As the shipment is picked up by the courier partners, the delivery status will be synced between Eshopbox and Unicommerce.
The setup guide for Approach B is coming soon.
While both approaches have similar outcomes, there are differences in some features, as outlined in the table below.
| Approach A: Using Eshopbox workspace to process orders | Approach B: Using Unicommerce to process orders (Coming soon) |
Risk score | Orders are created in Eshopbox immediately, allowing the risk score feature to function as expected. | The risk score feature of Eshopbox will not be functional, as orders are pushed to Eshopbox only when the label is generated. |
Customer Portal | The customer portal is fully operational from the start, enabling order edits, self-serve cancellations, and updates to customer details. | The customer portal will only be activated once the order is packed, limiting features like order edits, customer detail changes, and self-serve cancellations. |
Customer Communications | All notifications (emails, SMS, WhatsApp) are functional, including alerts for non-serviceable pin codes or address issues. | Notifications for events like order receipts, non-serviceable pin codes, or address issues will not be sent to customers. |
Inventory control | Shelf-wise inventory control may be limited as inventory is automatically depleted from the default shelf of the product. | You can manage inventory adjustments from specific shelves, allowing better shelf-wise inventory management in Unicommerce. |
Approach A leverages the full functionality of Eshopbox, including risk score and a comprehensive customer portal, while Approach B offers enhanced inventory control within Unicommerce.
You can select the approach that best aligns with your business requirements and operational preferences.
