Eshopbox Secure Shipment Policy

Eshopbox Secure Shipment Policy

The Eshopbox Shipping Warranty policy strictly excludes liquids, media, fragile items, and food items from reimbursement for damage or loss.

Additionally, for orders with an invoice value above INR 5,000 that are damaged or lost in transit, couriers will provide a Certificate of Fact (COF), which you need to submit along with other mandatory documentation to your insurance provider to process your reimbursement claim.

To protect you from the hassle of filing claims and avoid potential reimbursement denials for exceptional categories, we have you covered with the Eshopbox Secure shipment policy.

How much do I need to pay for securing a shipment?

The insurance premium rate for securing a shipment is 0.9%, and it is calculated as follows:

  • Base calculation: 105% of invoice value

  • GST: 18% on the premium amount

For example, for a shipment worth INR 5,000:

  • Base calculation: INR 5,000 × 105% = INR 5,250

  • Premium: INR 5,250 × 0.9% = INR 47.25

  • GST: INR 47.25 × 18% = INR 8.50

  • Total insurance cost: INR 55.75

This cost is added to your regular freight charges. For example, if freight is INR 100, your forward freight charges will be INR 155.75.

RTO shipments are covered under this policy, while customer-initiated returns are charged according to forward freight rates.

For example, if a secured shipment is returned by the customer, both forward and reverse freight charges applicable post insurance calculation will apply.

Note: The premium rate is subject to monthly review and may be revised.

How much reimbursement will I get?

For a forward shipment, a deductible applies to the invoice value as below:

  • 5% for shipments with invoice value up to INR 50,000.

  • 10% for shipments with invoice value above INR 50,000.

For a customer-initiated return, a deductible applies to the invoice value as below:

  • 4.75% for shipments with invoice value between INR 5,000 and 50,000.

  • 10% for shipments with invoice value above INR 50,000.

After these deductions, you will receive the reimbursement as credits in your Eshopbox wallet. For example, if a secured shipment with an invoice value of INR 55,000 is damaged or lost during transit, you will receive a reimbursement of INR 49,500 as credits to your Eshopbox wallet.

Note: For consignments valued above INR 1 lakh where recovery rights are prejudiced, claims can be settled up to 90% of the assessed value.
