Creating a return pickup/ exchange

A return pickup or exchange can only be created for orders shipped out via Eshopbox shipping. The customer can create the return pickup/ exchange from their end, or you can also create the same on their behalf.

Before you start, ensure you have enabled your customer portal's return settings. Learn here how to enable return creation on your customer portal.

In this article, you will learn how to create a return pickup/ exchange.

The customers have the option to create the pickup for a return they've initiated through the provided tracking link. Upon clicking, they will be directed to the customer portal, where they can specify the return reason and proceed accordingly.

Using the customer portal

You can also create the pickup of a return from the Eshopbox workspace on behalf of the customer. To do so, you need to follow the below-given steps:

  • Step 1: From the header, navigate to Orders > All orders.

  • Step 2: Search the order for which you want to create a return.

  • Step 3: Click on Take Action > Initiate return.

  • Step 4: You will be redirected to the customer portal. Select the reason for return and click on Next.

    Note: In case you want to customise the return reason, you can do the same from your customer portal settings. Learn here how to customise the return reasons.

  • Step 5: Select the return action.

    • Exchange: In case you want to exchange the received item.

    • Refund: In case you want a refund for the received item.

  • Step 6: Enter the details of the returning variant in case you want an exchange, and click on Next.

    Note: This step is not applicable in case you want a refund for the order.

  • Step 7: Confirm the address for return pickup and click on Next.

    Note: You can also edit the return pickup address.

  • Step 8: Your return request will be created.

You can click on See all updates to view all the updates regarding the created return.

  • Can I create a single return for multiple items?

    Yes, you can create a single return for multiple items present in the order if you have configured the same in your customer portal settings. Learn here how to allow multiple item returns.

    To do so, you need to follow the below given steps:

    • Step 1: Search for the order and click on Take Action > View on Customer portal.

    • Step 2: You will be redirected to the Customer Portal. Click on Return.

    • Step 3: Select the items which you want to return from the list, along with the return reason, and click on Next.

  • How to cancel a return pickup?

    You can cancel a return as long as the pickup is not done. Learn here how to cancel a return pickup.
