It is essential to make returned products re-sellable by ensuring quick restocking into your available inventory. But there can be certain instances when you receive
an empty packet in return
an item that is different from the one shipped out
a damaged product that cannot be shipped out to another customer
To prevent this, you can implement a Doorstep quality check for your returns. This allows the shipping provider to perform a quality check at the customer's doorstep to ensure that the returned product is correct and unused and has all its tags and labels intact.
If the returned product fails the quality check parameters, then the shipping partner can refuse the return pickup. Learn here what will happen if doorstep QC fails for a return.

FAQs
Q1. How does QC check happen in multi item order. If QC fails for 1 item, will the other item get picked up?
In case of a multiple-item return, all items must pass quality checks. If any item fails QC, a new return request will have to be generated for all items, partial pickups are not allowed in this case.
