If you have a large number of fees configured in Eshopbox, then you can filter the fees using different attributes or identify the fee using the search box.

Before you start

  • You should have configured the fee that you wish to view or clone

In this article, you will learn

  • How to view a fee?

  • Different fee statuses in Eshopbox

  • Different fee types in Eshopbox

  • How to clone a fee?

Viewing Fee

From the sidebar of the Eshopbox workspace, navigate to Settings > Fees. Here, you will be able to see each fee configured in Eshopbox. You will find the following information with each fee:

  • Portal for which the fee is configured

  • The fee name

  • Fee status

  • Start date and end date of the fee

  • Fee version

Understanding fee status

Once you configure a fee in Eshopbox, it is assigned one of the following fee statuses:

  • Active: This means the fee is live and applicable

  • Upcoming: This means the fee doesn’t apply currently and will be valid on the start date.

  • Expired: This means the fee doesn’t apply since the end date has expired.

Understanding fee type

There are two types of fees in Eshopbox based on the identity of the selling party on sales channels:

  • Fees configured by you: These are fees created by you (selling party) that would be visible on the fee listing page. You can perform various actions on these fees such as editing, cloning, and more.

  • Fee configured by Eshopbox: These are fees configured by Eshopbox (selling party) that are only visible if you have chosen Eshopbox to be your seller of record for a sales channel. These fees are non-editable and can easily be identified by the Eshopbox logo adjacent to them.

To view the fee list, navigate to Settings > Fees.

The fee list gives you an overview of each fee, with the most important information such as the portal, fee name, version, start date, end date, and status of each fee.

Here you can:

  • Filter the fees list by the portal, fee name, fee status, and validity period.

  • Sort fees by their creation date.

Fee can have these statuses when it is configured or revised. According to the duration of the fee, there can be the following status:

  • Active: Fee applicable to the current period.

  • Upcoming: This fee does not apply to the current duration. Please note in this fee 'valid from' field is more than the current date.

  • Expired: The fee does not apply to the current duration. Eshopbox automatically marks an active fee as expired when the 'valid till' date is less than the current date.

Versions of Fee

You can see the latest and current applicable version on the fee main pane. Click on fee, and you can view fee details. Navigate to any version by clicking on the version from the version history drop-down list. When we edit fees, the Eshopbox workspace creates a new version of the fee.

  • Correcting a fee: When you edit a fee, the Eshopbox workspace creates a new version of the fee. Correcting fee increments the fee version by 0.1 to the latest version. To illustrate, refer to the below screenshot.

  • Revise a fee: Rounding the revised version to 1.0 points to the latest version. To illustrate, refer to the below screenshot.

💡 Fee with the latest version is applied if multiple fee versions are available for the same duration.

View Fee Details

The fee detail pane gives you information for a specific fee, like the portal, the fees name, access to different versions, start date, end date, the status of fee, and last updated date.

On the fee detail page, you can:

  • Filter the fee rules by the category, brand, payment method, shipping zone, selling price, and shipping weight.

  • View if the fee is tax inclusive or exclusive and the tax percentage. Define when the fee is charged and reversed.

  • Define additional fee rules for a fee.

  • Download fee rules: Download file with all the fee rules. You can edit this file and re-upload it in Eshopbox.

  • View all fee rules configured in Eshopbox.

Cloning fee

You can clone a fee to create a copy of an existing configured fee. This helps you save time when creating fees with similar details.

Navigate to Settings > Fees. Click on the clone icon against the fee which you want to copy.

Follow the below steps to clone a fee:

Step I - Choose sales channel

Select the sales channel for which you want to create fees. This field is not editable.

Step II - Name the fees

According to the sales channel selected in the previous step, you will see a list of the applicable fees. Select the name of the fee from the drop-down menu.

If the fee you want to configure is not available in the drop-down list, click on add custom. Provide the name of the fees. This field is not editable.

💡 Already configured fees will not appear in the drop-down. For a custom fee, the name cannot be the same as the already created fees. You also need to provide the exact fee name which you receive in the payment report for a custom fee.

Step III - Set validity period

‌Provide a duration for which this fee will be applicable. You can change the validity period while revising a fee. The following options are available:

  • Definite period: If the fee that you are configuring will be applicable till a specific date.

  • Indefinite period: In this case, provide the start date from which the fee is applicable.

After filling in all the information, click clone.

Your fee is cloned and you can view its details in Eshopbox as shown:
