For every product sold on Amazon, you have to pay a flat per-item technology fee. In this article, you will learn how to configure the Amazon technology fee in Eshopbox.

How to configure the fee in Eshopbox?

Navigate to Settings > Fees > Configure fee and follow the below steps to configure Amazon technology fee in Eshopbox:

Step I - Choose a sales channel

Select ‘Amazon’ from the drop-down and click Continue.

Step II - Choose fee name

Select ‘Technology fee’ from the drop-down and click Continue.

Step III - Define fee applicability

  • Configure if the fee values defined are tax inclusive or not. Select yes, if the fee amount configured in fee rules is tax inclusive. Also, select the tax percentage applicable to the fees.

  • Select the condition based on which Amazon charges the fee. Configure this as - fee is charged when the order is shipped and no reversals in case of a customer or courier returns.

Step IV - Set validity period

Select the validity period according to the time for which you are configuring fees:

  • Select ‘definite’ if the fee is applicable for a specific time period. Here, you would have to select the start and end date for the fee.

  • Select ‘Indefinite’ if the fee is applicable indefinitely. Here, you will have to select the start date for the fee.

Step V - Configure fee rules

The technology fee is independent and does not vary with factors like the product category, selling price, shipping zone, and more.

Configure the first fee rule (If condition):

  • Tick on the checkbox “No fee condition is required for this fee name”

Configure rule applicability (Then condition)

  • Apply Fees: Select ‘flat fee’ from the drop-down, enter the ‘technology fee amount’, and then select ‘Per Order Item’ from the drop-down.

Click on Continue. You will be redirected to the Eshopbox workspace to upload the fee rules in bulk. Select ‘Skip for now’. Your Amazon technology fee is now configured in Eshopbox. Eshopbox will now be able to calculate provisional fees and reconcile them against fees charged by Amazon.
