How to identify your rate card for commission fees?

Follow the below steps to identify your Amazon rate card for commission fees:

  • To identify your commission fee, navigate to amazon.

  • Click on the pricing & fee section > types of fees. You can see different fees charged by amazon on this page.

  • Go to the fee charged section > referral fee. Check from the list to see the referral fee rate and note the fee charged.

How to configure the fee in Eshopbox?

Navigate to Settings > Fees > + Configure fee and follow the below steps:

Step I - Choose a sales channel

Select 'Amazon' from the drop-down and click continue.

Step II - Choose fee name

Select the 'Commission fee' from the drop-down and click continue.

Step III - Define fee applicability

  • Configure if the fee values defined are tax inclusive or not. Select yes, if the fee amount configured in fee rules is tax inclusive. Also, set the tax percentage applicable to the fees.

  • Select the condition based on which Amazon charge the fee. Configure this as - fee is charged when order is shipped and revered fully in case of courier return and 80% for customer returns.

💡This condition can vary according to your agreement with Amazon. Go through your agreement thoroughly to understand this and configure it correctly.

Step IV - Set validity period

Select the validity period according to the time for which you are configuring fees:

  • Select ‘Definite’ if the fee is applicable for a specific time period. Here, you would have to select the start and end date for the fee.

  • Select ‘Indefinite’ if the fee is applicable indefinitely. Here, you will have to select the start date for the fee.

Step V - Configure fee rules

Commission fee depends on either or both of the two condition field i.e., category and product selling price.

Configure the first fee rule (If condition):

  • Condition field: Select this as a custom field. You will only see the custom fields that are created in the Eshopbox workspace. From the dropdown select category. Select multiple categories, if the same fee applies to multiple categories.

  • Condition Operator: Select 'is' for this field.

  • Condition value: Select the category for which you want to configure fees. Like jeans, shoes etc.

Configure the second fee rule (If condition):

  • Click on '+' Add New Condition

  • Condition field: Select this as the product selling price.

  • Condition operator: Select 'is' for this field.

  • Condition value: Fill INR 'start of range amount’ & ‘end of range amount,’ where the start of the range is inclusive, and the end of the range is exclusive. In case there is no defined end range given by Amazon, you can leave it blank. If the fee is not dependent on price, configure according to category only.

Configure rule applicability (Then condition):

  • Apply Fees: Select ‘percentage fee’ from the drop-down, fill ‘commission percentage amount,' then select 'per order item’ from the drop-down.

After configuring this rule, click continue. You will land on this page to upload the fee rules as shown below:

Click on the download fees button and read through the CSV to understand how to configure the fee rule in the file that you need to upload. This sample file explains how to configure fee rules. Now, upload the CSV file and your commission fees will be configured in Eshopbox. Eshopbox will now be able to calculate provisional fees and reconcile them against fees charged by Amazon.
