A detailed guide explaining each field in the template to import products in bulk.

In the Eshopbox workspace, you can import products in bulk with the help of CSV files. This article will help you to understand the rules and guidelines for the CSV template.

You should follow the below guidelines while creating a product in bulk. These guidelines apply to all types of products.

What's included

Below are the fields which you need to fill to import products in bulk:

  • SKU: The SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) is a unique name for your product. It must be present on your product for the fulfilment centre to easily identify it. This field can be alphanumeric and can contain special characters. For example, 760KA3FMY, 69OPYTGFUYF, etc.

  • Product group code: You use it for the grouping of multiple SKUs. For example, you can group different variants of a single product using the product group code. This field can be alphanumeric and can contain special characters. For example, PZBX05797-X187F080, PZBX05788-X187F080, etc.

  • EAN: European Article Number (EAN) is a global trade to identify a specific retail product type, packaging configuration from a specific manufacturer. This field can be alphanumeric. For example, 8905114366771, 8905114365064, etc.

  • UPC: Universal Product Code (UPC) is assigned to retail merchandise that identifies both the product and the vendor that sells the product. This field can be alphanumeric. For example, 574757474YTRE, 657483HGH65, etc.

  • GTIN: GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) is an internationally recognized system for identifying products. This field can be alphanumeric. For example, 6578UTYTW345T,876UJTU8763, etc.

  • Aliases: Any additional name of the product like an article number, style code. This field can be alphanumeric. For example, 6573738GFH,65YTUTIR94R444 etc.

  • Component: SKU that you want to add in the virtual kit or kit as a component. You can use active base products only.

  • Qty: The number of items of the SKU you want to add to the virtual kit or kit. For example, 1,2,4 etc.

  • Vertical: It is the category to which the product belongs. You can map one vertical with one product only. Make sure you add vertical with the brand. You need to use pre-defined value for this field.

  • *Brand: It is the brand of the product. You can map one brand with a product. The brand should be in the active stage. For example, Kapas Kraft, etc.

  • *Title: Short description of your product. It should not be more than 100 characters. For example, Kapas Kraft Black Coloured Belts, Kapas Kraft Black Suits, etc.

  • *Image URL: The image representing the product. The URL has to start with http or https . It should not be more than 250 characters, and there should not be any extra spaces between/before/after the URL. You can provide one image URL only.   • *Fragile: A product is fragile if it cannot survive a 4-foot drop without being damaged. Only pre-defined value applies to this field.

  • *Dangerous: A product that needs special precautions when handled. Only pre-defined value applies to this field.

  • *Liquid: A product that contains a liquid. Only pre-defined value applies to this field.

  • *A battery or contains one: Any product that contains, or is, a battery. Only pre-defined value applies to this field.

  • *Media: Books, CDs, DVDs, and other media may qualify. Only pre-defined value applies to this field.

  • *M.R.P.: It is the maximum retail price of the product assigned by its manufacturer for selling in India. It should be non-negative and greater than Unit Price. For example, 1299,1999 etc.

  • *Unit price: The transfer price of the product, which will be used to create consignment. Eshopbox will treat it as the insured price of the product. This should be non-negative and less than M.R.P. For example, 6109.53, 1000, etc.

  • *Tax code: The tax code will calculate the applicable tax amount of the product. Only pre-defined value applies to this field.

  • *HSN code: It is used to systematically and logically classify goods and was developed by the World Customs Organization (WCO). Should exist in Eshopbox System. For example, 42029100, 42029100, etc.

  • Color(Custom field): Use custom field value as the value to define the custom field. You should create the custom field name from your account. A new header will automatically get added to your CSV with a custom field name. For example, custom name: colour, custom value: red, etc.

All attributes marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory fields.

Not applicable values

You need not provide the following fields for the below product types:

  • Base: Component, qty.

  • Virtual kit: Vertical, image URL, fragile, dangerous, liquid, a battery, or contains one, media, unit Price.

  • Kit: Vertical.

Pre-defined values

You can select only pre-defined values for the below-mentioned fields:

Vertical

  • Apparel

  • Footwear

  • Accessories

  • Beauty

  • Home furnishings

Product is

  • Fragile: Yes or No

  • Dangerous: Yes or No

  • Liquid: Yes or No

  • A battery or contains one: Yes or No

  • Media: Yes or No

Tax Code

  • ESBGST1: if tax applicable is 5% or 12%

  • ESBGST2: if tax applicable is 12% or 18%

  • ESBGST3: if tax applicable is 0%

  • ESBGST4: if tax applicable is 0%

  • ESBGST5: if tax applicable is 18%

  • ESBGST7: if tax applicable is 5%

  • ESBGST9: if tax applicable is 12%

  • ESBGST10: if tax applicable is 3%

  • ESBGST12: if tax applicable is 28%
